"I love You for You listen to me, my Creator, and hear my prayers." Tehillim/Psalm 116:1

In deep intimacy with his Creator, King David proclaims his love. Through the trials and errors of life, our circumstances and relationships shift and change, and sometimes we depart from the voice of truth within. Yet, whenever we return, God is there, faithfully present, waiting to listen to our voice and to hear our prayers. When we declare, “I love You” to our Source, we connect with our innermost eternal being. This is the soul of love itself through which the divine can manifest. This is why it is essential to keep the channels of communication open, to speak up and pray in our unique ways.

To listen with a loving heart, and to feel truly heard, are amongst the greatest gifts we can give and receive. It is a godly act to listen without judgment, to truly hear and respect the voice of another. This month, let us aspire to be good listeners, so we can hear our own heart’s prayers, and those of others. Let us remember, and proclaim, our love for the One who listens to us all. Let Love be our Guide.
