"Teach us to count our days, that we may bring forth a heart of wisdom." Tehillim/Psalm 90:12

Our time here is limited. With this consciousness we can choose wisely to make every day count. When we disconnect from our mortality we lose touch with humility and with the One who gives us life. In contrast, recognizing the gift of each day directs us joyfully to seek meaning and purpose and alignment with what is most true. How can we learn this? We ask, we pray to be taught; we yearn for a knowing and discerning heart; we search for guidance in the teachings of life itself and in the precepts of spiritual texts; we praise Supreme Intelligence and we are grateful. We till the field of our heart, sorting and sifting, to bring us to Essence. Day by day, we clear the way to a greater reality.

This month, practice breathing into your heart center to still the distractions of the mind. Place your hand on your heart, take a deep breath and be present. Let every moment be treasured as an opportunity to connect to your heart’s wisdom. Here is all you need to know: Each of us counts and is beloved by our Creator.
